Job description
Our client is a West Yorkshire based firm of chartered accountants looking to recruit an Accounts Apprentice to work in their Halifax or Leeds accounts departments.
Job role:
* Assistance with the preparation of year-end accounts.
* Preparation of management accounts.
* VAT Returns
* Completion of Self-Assessment tax returns for a wide range of individuals, Partnerships and Trusts
* Completion of associated tax computations including calculations of capital gains.
* Ensuring technical competence and accuracy of the department’s work through review
* Adherence to statutory and other deadlines
* Meeting billing targets
* Liaising extensively with clients in relation to day-to-day compliance and planning issues
* Identification of planning opportunities
