I’m currently working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is looking to add an experienced Environmental Advisor to their team in Inverness.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company known for delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across Scotland, with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence.
About the Role:
You’ll be supporting major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring environmental best practices are implemented and maintained. This is a key role within the SHEQ team and offers real scope for development in a well-established business that truly values its people.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Providing advice and guidance on environmental issues to project teams and site staff
Supporting environmental compliance and reporting across multiple projects
Carrying out site inspections and audits
Assisting with environmental risk assessments and method statements
Liaising with regulators and external stakeholders as needed
Promoting sustainability and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance
What they’re looking for:
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector
Relevant degree or qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or similar
Strong working knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
Full UK driving licence
