About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support learning and development in both small groups and 1:1 settings. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children, especially those who may need additional support to reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with class teachers to help students engage in the curriculum, facilitate understanding, and boost confidence through focused intervention sessions. Your role will involve nurturing a supportive environment, helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) catch up and excel, and supporting children’s social and emotional development.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
• Understanding of SEN, specifically experience in providing interventions or booster sessions is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to children needing additional help.
• Implement and monitor intervention programs designed to help children reach key milestones.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Communicate progress to teachers and other school staff.
