The school is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, a rating that it earned many years ago and has been successful in maintaining since. The school benefits from a strong staffing team who effectively set expectations in regards to pupils behaviour and attainment. Teachers who I have placed into roles in this school have commented on the staff support as being of excellent standard, and whilst there are occasional behavioural challenges they consistently supported and aided with management of these incidents.

Vacancy Details:

* To teach Maths to mainly KS3 and occasionally KS4 pupils

* To pick up other cover lessons in alternative subjects across the school

* To effectively assist in raising attainment levels of the pupils

* To provide a supportive environment where pupils are kept safe and on task

* To ensure that high standards of behaviour management are maintained and adhered to

* The role is a full time position to start as soon as possible after the Easter break and continuing until a point prior to the end of the academic year, the exact date yet to be confirmed

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

* It is preferable, but not mandatory that applicants hold Qualified Teacher Status and it is mandatory that all applicants are able to evidence their experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 pupils

* Full enhanced DBS certificate

* Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process

* The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teacher.

* A minimum of 2 school based references
