Job Advert: Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Specialist Unit
Location: Sheffield
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a specialist unit within a large primary school in Sheffield. This full-time role will involve supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with ASD and behavioural issues, helping them access learning in a way that meets their individual needs.
Assist in the specialist unit, working closely with teachers and other staff to support students' academic and personal development.
Help implement behaviour strategies and promote positive social interactions in line with the students' individual education plans.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
Work collaboratively with school staff, external agencies, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (essential).
Team Teach certification (desirable).
Experience working with children with ASD and behavioural challenges, particularly in a primary school setting.
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to inclusion.
Ability to manage challenging behaviours with confidence
A team player with a passion for supporting children's growth and development.

Working Hours:
