MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Operator to join an Energy from Waste site near Dudley.

Our client is a leading business within the Power Generation sector, looking for a Shift Operator to join their team.

As the Shift Operator, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out daily plant checks and inspections
Working in the control room to carry out day to day operations of the plant  
Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure full plant efficiency
Ensuring all shift handovers and requests are dealt with correctly
Stock control when necessary
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:

Previous operations experience in a power generation business (EFW, Biomass, Anaerobic Digestion, CHP etc.)
A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/Apprenticeship) is advantageous but not essential
An excellent understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
The ability to work on a shift pattern involving days and nights

The package on offer for this position includes:

An excellent basic salary up to £38,000 (depending on experience)
