Quality Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturer. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all production processes, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong quality assurance background in the automotive industry, looking for a challenging and rewarding role.
Role Responsibilities:
Drive internal and external quality issue resolution to maintain high production standards.
Ensure working and master samples are valid, available, and used correctly in production.
Issue, monitor, and enforce adherence to Quality Alerts across production teams.
Initiate and oversee temporary and permanent fixes for any quality-related problems.
Conduct product audits to ensure compliance with standards and protocols.
Assist customers with quality concerns during your shift and visit customer sites when required.
Support line trials and ensure accurate documentation and feedback.
Utilize Global 8D reporting to drive root cause analysis and corrective action, with multifunctional team support.
Provide support to operations and production teams, ensuring adherence to 1st-off procedures.
Role Requirements (Preferred but not essential):
ONC or equivalent in Quality Control Techniques.
Working knowledge of FMEA's (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and control plans.
Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
Experience conducting process and product audits.
Metrology experience and proficiency in measurement techniques.
Experience with X-rite colour measurement.
Understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels within the organization.
PC proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Ability to generate accurate and informative data reports.
A team player with a collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of paint, plastic, and assembly processes in high-volume manufacturing is desirable.
