Job Role: Management Accountant
Location: Pinxton- Long term Hybrid opportunities

Salary: £50,000 Per Annum

The Company:

My client within Manufacturing is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the head of financial planning and analysis, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing company.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
Performing month-end procedures, including journal entries, cash book reconciliations, and accruals/prepayments
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and presenting findings to budget holders
Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting
Reviewing bank reconciliations and collaborating with the Credit Controller on debtor positions
Ensuring financial controls and compliance with group standards
Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and accurate labour cost reporting
Reconciling AP postings, VAT submissions, and handling corporate tax queries
Leading year-end financial audits and addressing accounting issues
Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects and providing Credit Controller cover as needed

Desirable/Essential:

Strong understanding of operational and financial aspects in manufacturing
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Team player with the ability to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced setting Hardworking and a team player.
You will be part of a small team that plays an integral part in the organisation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience with ERP systems and financial software
Strong communication and interpersonal skillsQualifications:

QBE in a similar manufacturing role; CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification (or working towards) preferred
Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge essentialApply:
