Field Service Engineer – Machine Tools
Location: M62 Corridor / North UK
Pay: c.£40,000 + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a strong background in machine tools? This is an excellent opportunity to join a machine tool OEM, providing expert service and support across the North of the UK.
The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of high-precision multi-axis CNC milling machines and lathes. Your key duties will include:
Installation & Commissioning – Setting up and integrating CNC machines at customer sites.
Reactive & Preventive Maintenance – Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults, as well as performing scheduled servicing.
Breakdowns & Repairs – Troubleshooting faults in mechanical, electrical, and control systems to minimize downtime.
Customer Support & Training – Providing technical assistance and operator training where required.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer working with CNC machines (mills/lathes).
Strong mechanical and electrical skills – a balanced background is ideal.
Ability to diagnose and repair faults on CNC machinery.
Willingness to travel primarily across the North of the UK, with occasional work further afield.
Full UK driving licence.
