Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacuting business based in the Shropshire area. We are looking for an experience Engineering Manager to join the team on a full time, perminent basis. This is a hands-on role, managing a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on a 4 on 4 off Night / Day shift.

Salary Circa: £52,000

Key Duties:

* Assist management in direct oversight of department’s daily operation.

* Supervise and participate in the completion of the assigned PMs to ensure departmental KPI’s.

* Perform major repair of mechanical and electrical systems.

* Develop and maintain relations with the Planned Maintenance Manager, Operations, QA / Technical on manufacturing and operational concerns.

* Supervise the pre- startup of production equipment.

* Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering on shift.

* Hands on to support the engineers, ensuring all breakdowns and planned repairs are done effectively.

* Evolvement and improve the written PMs to ensure they are affective and give value.

* Good communication and ability to discuss issues, attain good feedback.

* Equipment performance and capability to complete production plan and cost savings.
