Counterbalance Drivers – 3 Month Contract, 4 On 4 Off

The Opportunity

Due to an ongoing project at our new Energy-from-Waste power station near Burton-upon-Trent, we are looking for additional support in our operations team by bringing on 4 new Counterbalance Operators/Drivers, initially on a 3 month contract, to provide 24/7 cover to the facility through a 4-on-4-off shift pattern with 2 days and 2 nights in each cycle.

The Role

Reporting to the Power Station Manager you will be responsible for:

* Operating counterbalance forklifts around site

* Acting as banksman for deliveries

* Carrying out loading and receipt of materials

* Ensuring all works are carried out in line with H&S processes and regulations

* Working on a 4-on-4-off pattern, working 2 days (7am-7pm) and 2 nights (7pm-7am) in each cycle

Skills/Experience:

* Counterbalance Forklift qualification

* Any other mobile plant qualifications advantageous e.g Reach Truck, Telehandler etc.

* Comfortable with working both day and night shifts in an outdoors environment

The Package

* £32,000 Pro Rata

* Overtime paid at 1.5x rate

* 25 Days Holiday (Pro Rata)

* Further training and support to familiarise with industrial plant operations
