* 2/3 Years accounting experience.

My client, based in Kingston Upon Hull (North), is a fast paced highly entrepreneurial organisation, with an impressive track record of growth. As part of the continued evolution of the Group Finance Function the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Assistant Management Accountant to support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller across monthly financial reporting as well as providing insightful operational analysis to the Executive Management team.
Responsibilities:
Major duties & responsibilities
* Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to include full P&L review with analysis compared to plan.
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
* Bank Reconciliations and Cash flow.
* Payment of corporation taxes across divisional businesses.
* Liaise with overseas colleagues and third-party advisors/authorities.
* Work with Credit Control team to ensure timely collections and customer query resolutions.
* Contribute to Pricing Proposals for key commercial opportunities.
* Preparation of accurate reports and KPIs for each responsible business.
* Checking and reviewing transactional information & tax submissions.
* Preparation of annual financial plans.
* Maintain proper and accurate accounting records to meet statutory requirements.
* Suggest & undertake adhoc projects required to improve the Finance Team procedures.
* Any other task as requested by Management Accountant or Financial Controller.
Candidate Profile:
* AAT or early stages of CIMA/ACCA qualification.
* Numeracy and attention to detail are essential.
* Good knowledge of Excel, able to build spreadsheet models as needed.
* A responsible and professional approach to the role.
* Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner essential.
* A ‘can do’ attitude and not a barrier to change.
* Always looking to improve systems, processes, and procedures and not to ‘stand still
