Talent STEM is working with an innovative biotechnology company at the forefront of nucleic acid research, seeking a Computational Scientist with expertise in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge team developing next-generation predictive modelling tools for ground-breaking technology.

Location: North East England
Salary: £42K - £55K (Dependent on Experience)
Contract: 24 months (Potential for Permanent Role)

The role:
✅ Design, execute and analyse MD simulations of chemically modified nucleic acids
✅ Model conformational changes, interactions and flexibility within nucleic acid systems
✅ Develop and optimize simulation protocols for enhanced predictive modelling
✅ Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to validate and integrate findings

What you’ll need:
✅ PhD in a physical science (with a molecular focus)
✅ Strong background in molecular dynamics simulations
✅ Proficiency with MD software (e.g., GROMACS, AMBER, OpenMM)
✅ Python scripting experience for data analysis and automation
