Description

· Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies for IT procurement, including hardware, software and services.

· Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.

· Strategic Sourcing: Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms and conditions.

· Spend Analysis: Monitor and analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

· Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met and risks are mitigated.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.

· Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.

· Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management.Profile

A successful IT Buyer should have:

A degree in business, IT, or a related field
Experience in IT procurement within the industrial/manufacturing sector
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management
