Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician, Maintenance engineer

Location – Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Herefordshire, Malvern, Worcestershire

Shift Works, Double days, 06:00 – 14:00hrs & 14:00hrs to 22:00hrs, Monday to Friday

We are currently looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician for a client that has manufacturing presence in the UK, Europe, Spain & France.

Based from their UK manufacturing facility in Gloucestershire, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all Electrical/Electronic Maintenance of plant and equipment, to ensure machine downtime is kept to a minimum.

* You will maintain and repair a variety of production equipment and machinery in a demanding, high volume production environment.

* You will be able to carryout Fault finding and diagnostics on a daily basis to aid TPM’s alongside scheduled PPMs

Additional duties will include:

* Working to all appropriate safety legislation and guidance at all times

* Electrical fault finding and maintenance.

* Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance of production lines and other production machinery to schedule.

* Regular electrical safety testing of equipment and machinery.

* Carry out electrical installations and upgrade work around the plant, as required.

* Maintenance of building & facilities to include lighting/emergency lighting systems throughout the plant

Experience Required:

* Candidates should have proven experience of working within a similar manufacturing environment, Industrial / Manufacturing / Plant background, with good understanding of manufacturing operations and challenges.

* Experience of handling reactive electrical maintenance and breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment.

* Have experience of working with different types of machine controls and interfaces, including PLCs, HMIs and Inverter drives.

* Possess excellent communication skills, with an ability to converse at all levels.

* Experience of mechanical/hydraulic drive systems would be advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications for the Role

* NVQ/ONC/HNC or additional relevant qualification.

* Level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Electrotechnical Craft or similar qualification. (17th / 18th Edition wiring regs).
