Electronics Design Engineer - £30k-£35k – Southampton, Hampshire

Are you an ambitious Electronics Design Engineer with a desire to work in a dynamic team on highly innovative technology?

This role is for a start up technology company that are involved in the development of laser technology, you’ll be involved in designing the electronics and firmware used to control high-power fibre-lasers.

The job would suit someone who is capable of developing Hardware and Embedded Software and looking for an opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive enviroment with guidance from the companies Lead Engineer.

Essential skills and experience:

* A good knowledge of Digital Electronics

* Embedded C for Microcontrollers (ARM/STM an advantage)

* Some FPGA/VHDL knowledge

* Schematic capture (Altium use an advantage)

Any experience in the following would also be useful but not essential:

* Experience in machine control, data communications interfaces such as USB, Ethernet and CAN

* Chassis wiring design and cable management

* EMC

* Weak signal amplifier circuits

* C#
