Overview

Actively seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client’s offices in Exeter or Plymouth. With over 2 years post-graduation experience in designing electrical services, this role will offer the opportunity to work on a variety of UK and international projects across multiple sectors, including retail, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial developments. Main Duties

Design & Modelling: Lead electrical designs for systems like lighting, LV supply, and fire alarms, producing detailed drawings and Revit models.

Project Documentation: Prepare calculations, specifications, and tender documents to ensure each project phase meets high standards.

Collaboration: Coordinate closely with architects, surveyors, and contractors, attending design meetings and progress reviews.

Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all work aligns with Health & Safety and quality assurance standards.

Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain design accuracy.

Candidate Requirements

2+ years post-graduation experience in electrical design.

Strong technical skills in Amtech Pro, Dialux, Revit, and AutoCAD.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; accreditation (IEng or equivalent) preferred.

Proactive, independent approach to work.
