We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nail Tutor to provide top-quality education and training to learners in Nail Technology courses. In this role, you will deliver an effective learning programme with high-quality teaching, assessing learners against relevant awarding organisation and industry standards. Your focus will be on developing learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours to meet the vocational and employment needs of the industry.

We expect you to:

Have a high level of subject knowledge and course delivery, ensuring the timely and successful achievement of teaching standards. You will support the learner’s regular studies to ensure the smooth and effective running of the course, to the highest possible standards. This is addition to being responsive, adaptable, and comfortable with multiple learners with varying needs so that learning outcomes are met. You will understand the importance of providing people with the skills, knowledge and support they need to succeed.

Your main responsibilities as the Nail Tutor will be to deliver high-quality learning with successful outcomes related to the chosen vocational programme, meeting the needs of learners and organisational priorities and to develop and implement programmes of embedded learning which provides learners with functional skills relevant to their vocational and employment needs.

Requirements of the Role

Programme Planning and Delivery

* Plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum that meets the requirements of awarding organisations.

* Ensure that the learning experience is engaging and aligned with industry standards, from course delivery to assessment, while monitoring and reporting on learner progress.

Subject Knowledge and Course Management

* Maintain a high level of subject expertise and ensure that teaching standards are met in a timely and effective manner.

* Support learners' ongoing studies to guarantee the smooth and successful delivery of the course to the highest standards.

Learner Support and Adaptability

* Respond to the diverse needs of learners by being adaptable and providing tailored support.

* Develop strategies to overcome learning barriers and ensure that all learners achieve their desired outcomes.

Assessment and Quality Assurance

* Assess learners’ knowledge, skills, and behaviours through a variety of teaching and assessment methods.

* Ensure that all assessments meet the required standards and contribute to learners' overall success in their vocational programmes.

Leadership and Mentorship

* Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, helping them embed and apply their learning in a practical context.

* Take a leadership role in ensuring that delivery standards meet or exceed the requirements of the OFSTED regulations, striving for outstanding outcomes.

Attendance and Behaviour Management

* Implement strategies to address issues such as poor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and class performance.

* Maintain accurate records of student information as required by funding rules and for statistical purposes.

High-Performance Culture

* Promote a positive and high-performance culture where learners are motivated to excel, supported by your professional leadership and management.

Other Duties

* Support the continuous development of learners' practice through the standardisation of best practices and the sharing of knowledge.

* Assist in coordinating exams and assessments, ensuring that learners are adequately prepared and supported.

* Contribute to the broader learning environment by offering additional pastoral support and addressing individual learner needs.

* Work as a proactive team player with strong organisational and planning skills, effectively managing your own diary and caseload.

* Communicate effectively and coach learners to help them reach their full potential.

* Identify individual learner needs, set and review SMART targets, and ensure learners meet their assessment goals.

Knowledge and Skills

* Possess a recognised teaching or training qualification at level 3 or above (hold or be working towards), which could include any of the following: Level 3 or 4 Award in Education and Training, Level 3 PTLLS teaching qualification or equivalent or Diploma or Certificate in Education

* Experience in educational delivery and have working knowledge within the training/education sector

* Experience of 1:1 based delivery as well as larger group sessions

* Be an excellent learning mentor providing support and guidance to help our learners succeed

* Commitment to CPD/professional development/safeguarding

* GCSE Grade A*-C in English, Maths, and IT or equivalent

* Occupational competence in delivering vocational qualifications

* An understanding of curriculum design and assessment

* Up to date knowledge of the education inspection framework
