Our client, a global leading container shipping organization, which provides customized services for various types of cargo including container cargo (dry, reefer and special cargo) and bulk cargo for raw materials, oil and plants, are looking for a Key Account Coordinator to join their team at offices in London.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Key Account Manager, to assist in the managing and processing of assigned Key Account Customer’s requirements received from our European Sales team. Managing and supporting global tender requirements within Key Account Management team.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Key Account Co-ordinator:
* Coordinating closely with the HQ Pricing Teams, HQ Pricing Teams and all other regional HQs on all matters relating to Key Account customers.
* Seeking detailed offers and inputs from internal stakeholders involved in the handling and participation of BCO tenders. This includes, among others, ocean-freight prices, inland haulage rates, demurrage and detention terms, legal terms, payment terms, ensuring tender documents are completed and submitted to the customer of the appropriate office in the given time frame.
* Liaising with customers regarding their tender requirements. Building relationship with the customers under the control of Key Account Management as well as giving support towards strategic objectives. Supplying regular information on performance to customers as needed and agreed in tender negotiations.
* Maintaining the database of tenders received, pending and submitted.
* Creating a database for the development of existing and potential tenders under the control of HQ.
* Checking on customer performance via our in-house system ’COMPASS’ on a regular basis and advising relevant stake holders in the various global offices on performance results against expectations and of forecasts.
* Ensuring that the business needs to meet customer requirements are aligned in order to not only maintain but also build, expand and secure more BCO Tender business and supporting the needs of tender customers.
* Attending tender meetings with customers as required
* In order to meet business needs, a degree of flexibility may be required and the post holder may need to perform work not specifically referred to in the above.
To Be Considered:
* Knowledge and experience working in the Shipping Industry, preferably with a Container Shipping company
* Sound understanding of the needs of the customer within Shipping industry
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to understand IT systems quickly, including EDI and internal systems for Shipping
* European language skills would be beneficial, although not essential
