Westray Recruitment Group is delighted to bring to you a client who are looking for a Trainee Hose Fitter.
Our client is a technology and innovation driven supplier of flexible hose and fluid transfer systems in the Oil,Gas and Marine industry. Their engineering expertise accelerate industry progress sustainably.

Once permanent and performing to the expected standard, there will be opportunities to achieve your HNC in Mechanical Engineering, CBAL Fork Lift Truck licence and many more courses.
There is major scope for progression for the right candidate to work under the existing management as part of their succession planning.
THE ROLE
The role itself is technical and you will be required to do the following during your 3 month probationary period
Following all health and safety procedures onsite
Follow training plan and job sheets provided by Engineering Manager
Unravelling pipes correctly
Attaching fittings to pipes using machines and other assembly work
Make sure pipe is correctly sealed and fixed up
Packing up items correctly and ensuring they are shipped to the client
THE PERSON
You will be a bright, conscientious, industrious and proactive individual who is keen to begin a career in Engineering who wants a stable and prospering career. You will be someone who likes to be rewarded by your employer for hard work.
Within 12 months of being permanent, you will be required in the future to take inbound sales queries, write reports, liaise with customers, travel abroad to oil and gas rigs to conduct quality inspections and learn on the job from experienced and skilled professionals. There is scope here for a real professional career in Engineering and opportunities for continued progression and pay increases as you become more experienced and qualified.
You must have a GCSE Maths and English or equivalent to do this role
You will have previous experience using hand tools
You will be mechanically or technically minded whether it be in your work experience or hobbies
You are keen to develop your skillsets
You will demonstrate a polite, professional and ready to get stuck in attitude.
You are a team player wanting to help others showing exemplary work ethic
You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and work hard to meet business demands
You are physically able to carry out various warehousing and assembly duties
You are an excellent team player who can work efficiently and accurately
