THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-respected law firm in market Harborough, looking to appoint an experience Legal Cashier to join them. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual with a strong background in legal finance to contribute to the smooth operation of a thriving legal practice.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the firm’s client and office accounts, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the firm’s financial integrity, supporting the firm’s solicitors with accurate financial management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Managing day to day transactions including client and office account payments, receipts and transfers.

* Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules and other relevant regulations.

* Reconciling bank accounts daily and investigating any discrepancies.

* Processing billing, VAT Returns and maintaining accurate financial records.

* Handling payroll, including PAYE and NI Contributions.

* Managing supplier payments and liaising with suppliers regarding account queries.

* Preparing monthly management reports and assisting with year-end accounts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

* Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm environment.

* Strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules and compliance requirements.

* Excellent numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Proficiency in legal accounting software.
