The Role:

We are looking for committed Teaching Assistant Level 3's to provide high-quality support to their students across KS3 and KS4. The successful candidates will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for Level 3 TA's who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners in Blackpool.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing Learning Activities: Delivering learning activities to individuals, small groups, and sometimes the whole class under the guidance of the teacher. This includes adapting activities to meet diverse needs.
Specialised Support: Providing specialist support in a specific curriculum area (e.g., literacy, numeracy, science) or for students with particular needs (e.g., SEN, EAL).
Implementing IEPs/Support Plans: Understanding and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Education Plans (BEPs), and other support plans.
Monitoring Progress: Observing, assessing, and recording pupils' progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
Personal Care: Assisting pupils with personal care needs, including hygiene, dressing, and eating, while encouraging independence.
Promoting Inclusion: Supporting the social and emotional well-being of pupils and encouraging their integration and acceptance by others.
Behaviour Management: Implementing the school's behaviour policy and using strategies to support positive behaviour.
Lesson Planning & Preparation: Contributing to lesson planning, preparing resources, and adapting materials.
Assessment Support: Assisting with the administration of tests and undertaking routine marking.
Providing Feedback: Giving the teacher objective and accurate feedback on pupil progress and any issues arising.
Cover Supervision: In some cases, supervising a whole class for a short period during the teacher's temporary absence.
Working with Parents/Carers: Liaising with parents/carers under the direction of the teacher or SENCO.
Working with Other Professionals: Establishing and maintaining working relationships with other professionals (e.g., therapists, social workers).
Health and Safety: Promoting the safety and well-being of pupils and following safeguarding procedures.What We Are Looking For: "Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification" is essential to apply.
