Main Responsibilities: Customer and Sales team liaison through telephone and email communication, including but not limited to:
To support the sale of products through the dissemination of technical information
To provide robust technical advice and solutions to design related problems relative to the product range
To conduct in depth calculation and qualification of the suitability of products for use
To correctly specify products by application
Technical approval of drawing submittalsContribute as a team member to NPD/product enhancement/Project work including but not limited to;
Development ideas for service/product improvement (based on customer feedback)
Creation of technical documents and drawings for internal and customer use
Enhancement of the existing library of NBS specifications, CAD and Revit drawingsAssisting the Technical Services Manager in:
Continuous improvement activities for Technical Support
Issues arising relating to site practiceAdditional Responsibilities:
Responsible for following all company procedures and policies in line with our compliance management system and to report any concerns of noncompliance immediately
Responsibility for taking reasonable care of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions. You must follow all instructions and training given to you and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures at all timesSkills and Attributes:
Computer literacy including Autodesk software
Experience working with Revit, Inventor, & Fusion 360 preferred
Good understanding of mathematical/ structural principles
Ability to read and understand drawings
Good communication skills
Good literacy and numeracy skillsQualifications:
Degree, HNC, or HND in Design, Architectural Technology, an Engineering discipline or construction allied curriculum would be desirable. Suitable previous experience in communicating technical information to a customer base will be considered as well as formal certification.
