Job Purpose

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will help create and lead the execution of new sourcing and category management strategies and processes. Their focus will be on improving the performance of our most critical external spending areas while advancing key supplier partnerships, including cost reduction and productivity.

Qualifications

* BS degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and education

* Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management and or operations management.

Working Conditions

* This position will be an in-office environment with occasional project-based travel required.

Directly Responsible For:

You will be responsible for leading spend category initiatives while monitoring and reporting progress against compliance and objectives.

Skills and Competencies

* Execute supply base and key supplier performance improvement initiatives, focusing on innovation enablement.

* Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all procurement activities, including supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financial (AP) performance, and material shortage elimination.

* Support product development commodity strategies aligned with corporate initiatives to improve supply chain efficiencies and reduce total supply chain management costs.

* Drive alignment with core business initiatives and cultural policies (Modern Slavery, Environmental/Sustainability, Diversity, etc.).

* Manage supplier performance metrics and conduct key supplier business reviews and ad hoc issue resolution.

* Strong strategic thinking and planning experience.

* Experience in manufacturing and international sourcing.

* Management experience within supply chain, procurement, and sourcing

* Excellent contract negotiation and management capability.

* Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholder at all levels.

* Project management and process improvement.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with date driven approach specifically around financial, pricing, performance, and technical data.

* Knowledge of diverse set of commodities including metals, resins and other industrial materials and indirect / SG&A spend categories.

* Excellent verbal and written communication with strong listening / comprehension skills ability to create effective processes outlines and planning documents.

* Functional capability within finance and supply management systems (SAP, Concur)

* Highly proficient in MS suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
