Coleman James Ltd are working with our client in search of an Ecologist to work on a permanent, full time basis.

The successful candidate will have the following;

* Possess at least two species licenses.

* Be able to demonstrate experience in fieldwork, including habitat and bat surveys.

* A solid track record in office based consultancy tasks such as reporting and mapping.

* Level 1 Class License for bat surveys, with other survey licences welcomed.

* Strong botanical identification skills.

* Experience in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessments and using the UKHab classification.

* Capability to conduct regular fieldwork.

Preferred qualifications:

* Membership of CIEEM.

* Level 2 class license for bat surveys.

* Licenses for other protected species surveys.

* Experience in EPS Mitigation Licensing.

* Proficiency in GIS mapping.

* Understanding of relevant protected species planning policies, including the NPPF and local plans, in relationship to development.
