Electrical Engineer
Company: An established engineering and safety services company specialising in delivering complex projects for companies in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and utilities sectors across the world.
The Electrical Engineer will be a key role within the UK business, working within the Control & Automation Department to manage and deliver projects and key customers. The position requires a broad EC&I engineering knowledge and experience in the range of technical roles and responsibilities carried out by this department.
Key Responsibilities as Electrical Engineer:
* Lead and collaborate with electrical and automation engineering teams to ensure client needs are met in line with company quality standards
* Design, implement, and manage electrical control systems, including the development of PLC I/O lists, electrical schematics, terminal lists, and cable schedules
* Conduct site surveys, create specifications for procurement, and oversee the selection and installation of electrical components
* Supervise electrical installation subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and health and safety regulations
* Support commissioning activities, including dry and wet testing, and provide final project documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications as Electrical Engineer:
* Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
* PLC Programming knowledge and experience designing, installing and commissioning control panels.
* Strong knowledge of IEE Wiring and ATEX regulations
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
* Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and internationally
