This Magic Circle law firm advising on high-profile and groundbreaking transactions and disputes around the world. The majority of the firm's work is complex, high-profile and multi-jurisdictional in nature. Clients include governments, entrepreneurs, funds, leading banks, retailers, entertainment companies, industrial conglomerates, and even Premier League football clubs. They are trusted adviser to the largest UK and global public companies and acts for more FTSE 350 companies than any other law firm.

The firms Environmental team advise clients on a broad range of environmental, health and safety matters that arise on transactions and projects, including permitting, compliance, offshore decommissioning and remediation strategies. The team also draw on expertise from the firm's complimentary specialist areas including energy law, construction, real estate and projects. The team have strong relationships with other advisers, including technical consultants and environmental insurance specialists.

The team's lawyers are also developing their focus on climate change, sustainability and ESG-related work. A portion of the team's workload is assisting clients across industry sectors, namely the energy sector, on environmental risks in their transactions.

As part of the role, you will be advising on environmental, health and safety matters for a wide range of clients. This would include climate change and sustainability, greenwashing, decarbonisation. Matters may also include carbon allowances and compliance with the EU ETS, permitting matters, decommissioning, environmental compliance, green leases, contamination and habitats considerations.
