HGV Class 1 Driver

Salary: £35,100 - £44,460 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift: 10 to 12 hours per day
Location: Daventry
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Days: Monday to Friday, with every 3rd Saturday on rotation (if required)
Nights Out: Paid at £26 per night, ad hoc

About the Company

A well-established, family-run business based in Daventry, operating a small fleet of new and nearly new, well-maintained trucks. Known for maintaining high standards, this company is looking for a dedicated HGV Class 1 driver to join their friendly team.

Role Summary

As a full-time HGV Class 1 driver, you’ll be responsible for delivering cereal products to customers, primarily within the Trowbridge area and up North, with no deliveries beyond Clitheroe. This role offers variety with a mix of farm collections, tipping, and occasional nights out.

Key Responsibilities:

* Delivering cereal products to designated locations.

* Navigating country roads for farm collections.

* Using a DAF XF truck with a manual sheet trailer.

* Engaging in more physically active duties compared to typical driving roles.

* Ensuring tipping procedures are followed; blowing experience is an added advantage.

Training & Experience:

* Full training is provided based on your level of experience.

* Tipping experience is required as a minimum.

* Blowing experience is preferred but not essential.

* Candidates with significant farm work and blowing experience can expect higher pay.

Additional Notes:

* An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

* No holidays are permitted during the harvest season.
