We are currently looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our fantastic team at our Langford Sand and Gravel Quarry, which is located close to Newark in Nottinghamshire.  The site is easily accessible via from Newark-on-Trent, Lincoln, Mansfield, Sleaford, Nottingham, Grantham, Worksop and surrounding areas. 

Due to the nature of the role, we are open to applications from either full-time or job share working for this role, job share is a minimum 24 hours per week on a set working pattern, with the expectation to cover full-time in holiday periods

Main ResponsibilitiesDuties of the Multi Skilled Operative will include the day-to-day operations of the weighbridge and administrative site/quarry tasks. The role is to operate safely and with meeting production demands. Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard.

Your role will include (not exhaustive):

Work to site/quarry daily production targets with Weighbridge operations and site Administrative support tasks
Follow SHE policies and procedures
Ensure site related operational equipment in keeping with the role conforms with safety requirements at all times
Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
Acting on defects and raise awareness for remedial action
Ensure that plant availability is maximised within your role
Housekeeping across the site to provide optimum productionPlease note this is a DAY shift role Monday – Friday and Saturday AM on rotation, along with OT available to meet with the site production needs.

The Ideal CandidateTo succeed in the role of a Multi Skilled Operative the following is what we are looking for in a future colleague:

Knowledge of Weighbridge, Quarrying and Administrative operations
Strong administration, numerical and IT skills are required in this role
Good Timekeeping – Flexible as to the sites manufacturing requirements 
Good Communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
Full UK Driving Licence
IT LiteratePrevious experience as a Multi Skilled Operative working in a Plant/Quarry environment would prove highly beneficial; but this is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
