Supply Heroes are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a supportive and energetic primary school in Stetchford, Birmingham with a fantastic reputation. They are looking for a passionate Year 5 Teaching Assistant to work across the classroom with a pro-active, enthusiastic and engaging approach. The role will start January 2025 and will be for the full- academic year. The ideal candidate will have KS2 experience and have a depth of knowledge with phonics. However, the school will consider those with other specialisms and backgrounds if they are the right person for the role.

The role will be classroom based, however; you may run targeted interventions supporting students in a small group basis as well as 1:1 with specific subjects such as literacy and numeracy. You may lead sessions in writing and spelling and assist the teacher in planning/carrying out activities for the pupils and also help in preparation and organisation or the classroom resources in the afternoon.

* Experience of working in a primary school

* Have the ability to engage with children and help build positive relationships

* Be able to manage any challenging behaviour in a consistent manner

* Level 2 qualification for a Teaching Assistant
