Job Opportunity: Production Operative

Our client is a leading manufacturer of paving slabs and block paving for residential and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company at their St. Ives site.

Requirements:

Manufacturing experience is essential.
A valid Counterbalance H50 Forklift License is beneficial.
Must have steel toe-capped safety boots.
Must be physically fit, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work on a 12-hour shift rotation (days & nights) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

General labouring - moving paving slabs and block paving around the site.
Forklift operation - loading and unloading materials.
Production line work - ensuring smooth manufacturing processes.
Loading materials into machines and monitoring their operation.
Stacking and packing finished products to meet quality standards.
Meeting targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strict adherence to health & safety regulations.

Shift Pattern:

12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM / 6 PM - 6 AM) on a 3-week rotating schedule:

Week 1: Monday & Tuesday (Days), Thursday & Friday (Nights)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (Days), Saturday (6 AM - 12 Noon)
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (Nights)Workload varies each week:

Some weeks: 34 hours
Other weeks: 40-46 hours (reflecting the salary range)
