Procurement Heads’ Industrial Practice is working with a prominent player in the telecommunications infrastructure sector, that is navigating an exciting transformative phase and looking for a talented Category Manager to join their team.

As the Category Manager, you’ll oversee the Design, Engineering, and Construction procurement categories. This role involves creating commercial strategies, leading supplier negotiations, and managing complex sourcing projects. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll optimize value-for-money, reduce supplier risk, and ensure alignment with corporate procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective category strategies that support the company’s strategic goals.
Lead supplier management to ensure compliance, capability, and resilience.
Drive negotiations for both new and renewal contracts to optimize cost and quality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service delivery, value, and process efficiency.
Track and report cost savings, supplier performance, and project milestones to inform business decisions. Skills and experience
Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on category management.
Strong negotiation skills and experience leading high-value, complex procurement activities.
A degree is preferred, with CIPS accreditation considered an advantage.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with a collaborative and strategic mindset. Salary and benefits
