Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Procurement Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis to be located in Leiston, Suffolk.
Requirements

Maintain & manage the technical/quality aspects of the sites spares and equipment catalogue
Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with technical specialists & buyers
Assist in the resolution of Quality and Technical problems.
Assist in addressing obsolescence issues including reverse engineering and carryout QC and Store Hold Inspections.
Provide advice and input for procurement engineering training and support and underpin the Materials Planning process.
Working Knowledge of AP928 and Work Management Process
Represent client at Station and Corporate meetings.
Qualifications

Educated to minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline.
Sound working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements.
Knowledge of standards applicable to the procurement.
A flexible working approach which includes supplier & other business unit visits necessary to support continuous improvement.
