SEN Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Long Term)
Location: Bristol and Surrounding Areas
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions in schools across Bristol and the surrounding area. If you’re passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a lasting impact, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure a consistent role in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
* Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their educational goals.
* Provide emotional and behavioural support where necessary, fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure students receive the best possible care and education.
* Support personal care needs where applicable.
Requirements:
* Experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role supporting children with additional needs.
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with children facing various challenges.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and SEN best practices.
* Availability for full-time, long-term placements.
