Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

Shift: Day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Rate: £17.50 - £18.50 p/h

Holidays: 26 days + Bank holidays

We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to take responsibility for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls. You will be expected to produce high-precision components, interpret technical drawings, and ensure high-quality standards are met at all stages of production.

The Job

* Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines with Fanuc controls to produce high-precision parts.

* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to program the CNC machines effectively.

* Perform tool changes, adjustments, and machine setup to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

* Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines.

* Work closely with the team to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.

* Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

* Adhere to health and safety standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator.

* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Fanuc controls.

* Proficient in CNC programming, setting, and operation (manual programming and/or CAD/CAM systems).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

* Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to work to tight tolerances.

* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

* Experience with tool setting and calibration.

* Knowledge of machine maintenance and basic repair.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in machining or engineering is advantageous.
