I'm currently working with one of the key players in the office design and build industry. This company pride itself on creating outstanding office workspaces for blue chip clients across London and the UK.

About the role:

The Bid Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the creation of bid proposals, ensuring they meet all client requirements while effectively showcasing the company’s value propositions. This position involves coordinating all stakeholders in the bid process, ensuring that everyone understands their responsibilities and is aligned with the project deadlines.

The Bid Manager will oversee the timely delivery of high-quality bids, ensuring they are both complete and accurate. This includes managing the production of clear, concise, and compelling documentation and presentations. Additionally, the Bid Manager will collaborate with design teams to ensure that all bid materials meet the highest visual standards, creating engaging content for the client.

Working closely with the Bid Coordinator and the project Commercial Lead, the Bid Manager will help develop and refine the structure of internal bid proposals. This includes reviewing and editing previously written content, contributing to the creation of written bid responses, and assisting with the development of presentations and other supporting materials. The role requires a cohesive and consistent approach to content creation, ensuring all documentation aligns with the client’s needs and the company’s objectives.

Requirements:

The ideal Bid Manager will be highly motivated, innovative, and customer-focused, with a strong "can do" attitude. They will bring significant experience in leading teams and be able to inspire and motivate others, ensuring the Bid Team delivers high-quality work within set deadlines.

The Bid Manager will oversee a diverse Bid Team, including personnel seconded from various departments, and must be capable of providing effective interim line management to these contributors. Strong leadership and organizational skills will be key to ensuring all team members contribute effectively to the bid process.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. The Bid Manager must be able to engage with all bid contributors, understanding and speaking their "language" to bring out the best in each team member. This ability will ensure the bid is comprehensive, precise, and aligned with client expectations.

Attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy are crucial qualities for the Bid Manager, as they will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards throughout the bid process, ensuring that each submission is thorough and accurate
