We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team and lead our procurement efforts to the next level.

Job Title: Strategic Procurement Manager

Salary: Circa £70,000

Location: Peterborough

Type: Permanent, hybrid working

Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and negotiate with key suppliers.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost optimisation and improve supplier performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and long-term partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Legal) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
Monitor market trends and innovations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Analyse procurement data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing (5+ years preferred).
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive cost efficiencies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency with procurement systems and tools
