Junior Chemist

Location: North East of England

Salary: £24,000

CY Partners is seeking a Junior Chemist to join a research focused Pharmaceutical manufacturer based in the North East. This is a permanent position and an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a background in Chemistry.

Performing experimental work at up to kilo scale chemistry.

Carry out experimental work in the GMP laboratory area using both standard laboratory equipment and equipment up to 50L scale.

Completing reports on practical work and taking ownership of own projects

Performing cleaning of equipment and sanitizing of GMP areas following approved practices and procedures

Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and maintaining cleaning records for areas and equipment

Role Requirements:

BSc/MSc/MChem in Chemistry or equivalent

Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask

Strong communication skills for collaboration with other departments

Interest in organic synthesis and practical experimentation

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career within the Pharmaceutical industry. Relevant training will be provided but a understanding of synthetic chemistry is required
