Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Liverpool/Manchester
Salary: £43,000

DATS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client, a leading provider of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services with over 20 years of experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, housing, retail, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform reactive maintenance and repair work on heating/combustion systems, ensuring client satisfaction and statutory compliance.

* Carry out PPM (planned preventive maintenance) and identify/react to unreported issues.

* Diagnose and repair system faults, including basic electrical fault finding.

* Ensure proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment, stock control, and work area cleanliness.

* Perform commercial and domestic installations and minor plumbing works.

* Complete all required administrative documentation accurately and on time.

* Participate in on-call duties as part of a rota.

Essential Skills:

* ACS Commercial and Domestic Gas qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CEN1, CPA1, CIGA1, COCN1, CBHP1, ICPN1, TPCP1A).

* Significant experience in a similar service environment.

* A full driving licence.

* Flexibility and adaptability in approach to work.

Desirable Skills:

* Basic electrical qualification (e.g., 17th edition IEE).

* Knowledge of HVAC control systems, PFI building maintenance, Legionella awareness, pressure system regulations, and BMS systems.

* £43,000 basic salary
