Our growing client who is a leading provider in the lifting equipment sector is looking for a Crane Engineer to join their team in Erith and cover London and the South East.

The company has been providing specialist testing, inspection, maintenance, certification, and training services on cranes, lifting equipment, height safety equipment, pressure systems and local exhaust ventilation systems for over 200 years.

As a Crane Engineer, you will be required to conduct routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists and to understand LOLER and PUWER. You will be required to consult with your customers afterwards, ensuring that next steps are recorded with prevention of breakdowns as your goal. You need to anticipate the problems before they occur. You will be involved in frontline maintenance, attending to breakdowns, you will also be carrying out fault finding, retrofits, modernisations and upgrades to the customer cranes and hoists.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

NVQ3, HNC, HND or C&G electrical engineering qualification
Relevant industry experience working with cranes and hoists
Proven technical knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting machines
Ability to solve problems individually as well as part of a team
Excellent customer service manner, with strong listening and interpersonal skills
Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver their ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
Current UK driving licence
SALARY, BENEFITS AND HOURS:

£35,000-£44,140
Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, 39 hours per week
Overtime paid at time and a half if work over 8 hours per day
