Here at Impact Recrutiment we are working closely with one of the prestigious Shoe Manufacturers in Northamptonshire. They are looking for skilled candidates with experience in any departments within the shoe industry such as Finishing, Making, Closing, Clicking, etc.

Pay: £12phr - £16phr (Depending on experience / department)

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Location: Northamptonshire

Key Responsibilities:

Clicking:
Accurately cutting leather pieces according to patterns and ensuring minimal waste.
Selecting appropriate leathers for different parts of the shoe.
Maintaining and sharpening cutting tools to ensure precision.
Keeping detailed records of materials used and work completed.
Closing:
Expertly stitching and assembling the upper parts of the shoe with precision.
Inspecting materials for defects before and after stitching.
Operating and maintaining sewing machines and other closing equipment.
Ensuring all seams are strong and meet quality standards.
Making:
Constructing the shoe by attaching the sole to the upper, ensuring durability and quality.
Applying adhesives and stitching soles with precision.
Using hand tools and machinery to shape and assemble shoes.
Ensuring consistency in the making process to meet design specifications.
Lasting:
Shaping the shoe by pulling and stretching the upper over the last.
Ensuring proper fit and alignment of the upper and sole.
Using lasting machines and hand tools to achieve the desired shape.
Checking for any defects and making necessary adjustments.
Finishing:
Polishing, buffing, and completing the final touches to ensure a perfect finish.
Applying dyes, waxes, and other finishing materials.
Inspecting finished products for quality and consistency.
Packaging finished shoes for shipment or retail display.General Responsibilities:

Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets.
Reporting any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.
Continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and quality.
Participating in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.Requirements:

Proven experience in one or more of the specified departments.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to adapt to various tasks as required.
