Role: Electrical Design Support Engineer - HV

Salary: £50 000 - £65 000/annum

Benefits: Pension 5% and Private Medical Aid + Discretionary Bonus

Location: Remote locations will be considered, with occasional visits to the office.

Our client is hiring an Electrical Design Support Engineer with experience in designing 11kV Electrical Distribution connections.

Job Description:

The Electrical Design Engineer, duties will include:

* Undertake Primary Substation network design (11kV- 33kV), undertaking assessment of networks as appropriate.

* As part of the role, you will also ensure the safe adoption of distribution networks operating up to 11KV.

* The Electrical Design Support Engineer will ensure the safe adoption of distribution networks operating up to 11kV.

* High Voltage (HV) Network and Substation design.

* Produce compliant designs in accordance with customer and UIP requirements/constraints.

* Understand and apply iDNO Industry design standards and ENA ER standards where applicable.

* Liaise with DNO/iDNO/UIPs, ICPs on all aspects of design.

* Management of applications for Electrical connections on to the upstream operator’s network.

* Manage the relationship between all upstream parties for capacity and demand negotiations.

Experience Required:

* We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with electrical network design experience of up to at least 11kV.

* Power Distribution experience.

* Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment.

* Experience with AutoCAD - A good understanding of 2D CAD drawing is essential.

* Electricity network design experience with the ability to use design software.

* We are looking for High Voltage (HV) Design Experience.

* Experience working directly with customers and offering account support.

* Enthusiastic, analytical and forward-thinking Design Support Engineer to ensure the safe adoption of distribution networks operating up 11kV
