Are you an Accounts Assistant looking for a role that offers a mix of purchase ledger and broader financial responsibilities? Our client, based in Preston, is looking for a confident and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their supportive, close-knit finance team of three.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the purchase ledger (50% of the role), including processing invoices and payments.

* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the balance sheet.

* Handle cash management, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

* Assist with broader accounts assistant duties (50%), supporting various financial tasks as needed.

* Build strong relationships with the wider business to ensure smooth financial operations.

* Use of a bespoke accounting system and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.

* Experience in purchase ledger and general accounting tasks.

* Confidence to liaise with different departments across the business.

* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to work.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
