Position Overview
The Art Sales Associate is responsible for engaging with clients, building relationships, and driving sales while providing exceptional customer service. You’ll serve as a bridge between artists and collectors, ensuring each client finds the perfect piece to meet their aesthetic and investment goals.
Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Relations
* Engage with visitors to the gallery or studio, providing detailed information about the artists and their works.
* Build strong relationships with new and existing clients through personalized service.
* Identify and address client needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend suitable artworks.
* Actively follow up with leads and inquiries to close sales.

Art Expertise and Presentation
* Develop a deep understanding of the artists, techniques, and history behind the pieces in the collection.
* Assist in curating and arranging displays to highlight featured works.
* Conduct tours or presentations for clients, organizations, or special events.

Operations and Record-Keeping
* Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and inventory.
* Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure safe and timely delivery of purchased works.
* Assist in the planning and execution of gallery events, openings, or art fairs.

* Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new exhibitions and artists.
* Use social media and other platforms to engage with potential buyers and expand the gallery’s reach.
Qualifications
* Passion for art and knowledge of contemporary and historical art movements.
* Proven experience in sales, preferably in art, luxury goods, or high-end retail.
