SF Group are excited to be working with a manufacturing business based in Redditch on their search for a Financial Controller.

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Redditch

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the business. You will lead a small finance team and be responsible for providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. This is a hands-on role that will require a proactive approach to managing both the day-to-day accounting functions and long-term financial planning, with a focus on ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with statutory requirements
Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance with SOX regulations, ensuring robust internal controls and reporting processes
Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives
Lead and mentor a finance team, ensuring development and efficiency
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party stakeholders
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
The Successful Applicant:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, SOX compliance, budgeting, and forecasting
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to provide strategic financial insights
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
