The Opportunity

A fabulous company to work for, a group of small businesses that’s growing, has a clear plan and vision for the future. Required is an Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager. The stand out point of this role is that you don’t need to be an Assistant Accountant currently for this role, you can grow into it.

The Role

Purchase Ledger will be 80% of the role along with general bookkeeping & reconciliation. In addition, you’ll be getting your hands on the management accounts, supporting month end, journal posting, accruals etc. This is the bit you can grow into.

Working with Sage and Dimensions 365 along with excel, there’s a fair amount of reporting required by the Director of the group who is based in France.

The Candidate

Experienced working in a transactional account role. Exposure to management accounts would be a bonus however not essential. This role is ideally suited to somebody who isn’t too ambitious, has worked within a SME business or perhaps a firm of accountants, able to manage manual processes as well as automated. Excel to pivot / look up level, there’s some data work however in the main, you’ll be well versed in Accounts Payable and general bookkeeping.

Quals aren’t so important however AAT level 2/3 or 4 would be advantageous also. Support to complete your AAT is considered. This will encompass funding and day release / study leave.
