Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Rehabilitation Officer to join Leeds City Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out specialist assessments to identify individual needs and rehabilitation goals

*

Develop and deliver tailored rehabilitation programmes to support independent living

*

Teach daily living skills, orientation and mobility techniques, and communication methods

*

Provide emotional support and practical guidance to individuals and their families

*

Work collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, and voluntary organisations

*

Maintain accurate case records and contribute to support planning

*

Support the safeguarding and well-being of vulnerable service users

What You’ll Need:

*

A recognised qualification in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment)

*

Experience assessing and supporting people with visual impairments

*

Skills in teaching mobility, communication, and independent living techniques

*

The ability to manage a caseload and work within safeguarding frameworks
