Where will you be working?
You’ll be working on our UK Power Networks and SSEN contracts in Hertfordshire and surrounding counties.
You'll play a vital part in our Substation Build Team, delivering capital programme works on UKPN's and SSEN's 11kV to 132kV Distribution Network. Refurbishing and building new switchouses and transformer enclosures.
In this role you’ll be involved with the installation of ancillary and control equipment associated with the installation of High Voltage equipment.
What will you be doing?
Interpreting and using electrical schematics, manuals, asset standards, and other technical documents to assist installations and corrective maintenance tasks.
Working to the company and customer safe systems of work and permit to work systems
Installing of Control & protection equipment, Earthing Systems, Bus Bars, Disconnectors and Switchgear
Maintaining of High Voltage equipment
Fault Finding on Low and High Voltage equipment
Supervising the movement of long objects in an open bar compound
Installing & terminating multicores, Installing ladder & tray work, conduit & trucking installations, control and SCADA installations What you’ll bring
NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or completed an approved Apprenticeship
18th Edition Wiring Regulations training certification
A full driver’s license
Experience in Industrial Electrical & Control System Asset Installation What’s in it for you?
