POSTION: PRODUCT MANAGER – BUILDING MATERIALS / FMCG SECTORS / WHOLESALER B2B
SALARY: COMPETITIVE PACKAGE
LOCATION: EITHER BASED IN THE WEST MIDLANDS OR NR BRIGHTON
Background: -
Our client is a global market leader in HVAC/R sector and manufacture condensate removal pumps, HVAC/R accessories, nonpenetrative support systems, tools, and cleaning chemicals. Its family of products are commercialized throughout 100 countries worldwide, predominantly through a wholesaler network.
A new opportunity has arisen to join them as Product Manager
Key Responsibilities include: -
* Own, manage and drive the product introduction process from market analysis to commercial justification.
* Outline specification with the responsibility to shorten the time from idea to commercialisation, ensuring the sales teams and agencies are equipped with the information, training and assets needed to be successful in the market.
* Responsible for the Product Roadmap, life-cycle management and continued strong commercial performance of our client’s product portfolio with a focus on the early life performance (12 months) and end of life phase out planning ensuring the appropriate stock levels are available within the supply chain.
* Monitor the global cooling and refrigeration market to provide insight that drives product related commercial activity and ongoing range development.
* Be the Installer and Wholesaler ‘needs assessment’ specialist for our clients Category Plan.
* Work with the Marketing and Commercial Teams to ensure ‘successful product launches and sales support plans
Candidates’ background & experience: -
* Ideally 10 years proven experience in bringing products to market in either a Building Materials, FMCG or wholesaler B2B environment.
* Knowledge & experience with forecasting and managing stock by line from multiple suppliers with varying lead times.
* Good balance of commercial & technical knowledge and interest & willingness to learn about the HVACR sector.
* Ability to manage & deliver multiple projects.
* Capable of working through problems independently and finding solutions.
* Strong inter personal skills, able to confidently convey ideas, & results driven.
* Comfortable working without direct management within a remote global team structure.
* Candidates will be required to be flexible around travel domestically and possess a full valid driving licence.
