We are partnered with a reputable global consultancy that are looking for a Technical Architect to work on a very exciting LONG-TERM CONTRACT in the public sector.
Please note that this role requires SC Clearance / Eligibility for SC Clearance.
Role: Senior Technical Architect
Rate: Up to £600 per day (inside IR35)
Location: Newcastle and London
Style: Hybrid
Duration: 6 months (initially – view to extend)
The Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced AWS Technical Architect with SC Clearance to join our team. The ideal candidate should have significant experience working in large-scale government programs with a proven track record.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Should have worked within large implementation and multi-disciplinary teams
2. Proven track record as a Senior Technical Architect
3. Extensive experience working within teams involved in microservice development
4. Identity and Access Management, and related technical standards e.g. OAuth, OIDC etc.
5. Presenting to technical governance forums.
6. Justifying and communicating design decisions to various stakeholders
7. Assuring other services and system quality, ensuring the technical work fits into the broader strategy for government.
8. Should be able to lead multidisciplinary agile squads for technical delivery
9. Generate work, guide design and implementation, communicate with relevant stake holders including senior management and define and implement technical design related best practices
Key Skills:
1. Architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.
2. Event-based architecture design, patterns (including pub-sub and data streaming), modelling techniques, tools and standards.
3. Public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, and networking design patterns, tools and best practices (especially AWS).
4. Agile / DevOps delivery methodologies and best practices.
5. Identity and Access Management, and related technical standards e.g. OAuth, OIDC etc.
6. Justifying and communicating design decisions to various stakeholders
7. Assuring other services and system quality, ensuring the technical work fits into the broader strategy for government.
8. Strong hands-on expertise and knowledge of AWS services and should also have the ability to work independently
9. Adherence to Strategic reference architecture (BRA, ARA, TRA and Data architecture).
10. Extensive experience working in a microservices ecosystem
